Overseas Exchange Programme

July 07 saw the second collaboration between JTDC and Perform Art Studio’s in Vancouver, Canada. JTDS dancers visited Vancouver and participated in workshops and performances. This will be a Bi-annual event that our future dancers will be able to take part in.
Due to the success of our overseas programme the JTDS have arranged in July 2009 a summer intensive in Vancouver,Canada.

This is an incredibly exciting prospect and offers the students of JTDC a once in a lifetime experience. They will work with international choreographers, observe and participate in workshops and develop their knowledge of the dance culture in another country.

The students will gain an insight into the international world of dance and have the chance to forge new friendships, grow in confidence and increase their passion for the subject.

Students from JTDC are currently organising a whole array of sponsored activities in order to raise money for the trip. They will be taking part in cross country runs dressed in tutus, silent actions, a Christmas Gala and raffles. JTDC is also seeking sponsorship from local and national businesses.

We need your assistance to raise the money for flights and accommodation any financial contribution or fund raising advice will be greatly appreciated and warmly received and will help to support a young dancer realise their ambition.
